What is involved in Invisalign treatment?

At your initial consultation, we’ll use x-rays and digital impressions to create a precise 3D image of the teeth at your initial consultation. From this, we build a customized aligner that is specific to each patient’s smile.

How does the Celina Invisalign system work?
The Invisalign system itself is pretty straightforward. Just wear each aligner for 20-22 hours every day, and switch them out for the next in the series every 1-2 weeks. Your aligners should only be removed to eat, drink, brush and floss. Your teeth will move gradually as the aligners are replaced with the next one in the series until they reach their final desired positions.
It’s important to remember that every patient will respond differently to orthodontic treatment. Invisalign works in a different, less invasive way than braces to straighten the teeth. This means we can’t say for sure how long a patient will need to wear them before seeing results. Though the average tends to be somewhere between 6 and 18 months, this can vary widely from case to case. Treatment time depends significantly on patient compliance.
The average treatment time is estimated based on patients following the recommended guidelines. This means wearing aligners for at least 20-22 hours every single day, during treatment. This is the most important element to success with your Celina Invisalign. Your trays will be custom designed to fit you. They will need to be changed on time in order to keep up with the shifting of the teeth as they begin to straighten. Not changing aligners as scheduled or skipping your appointments can mess up your progress.
